As the Spring Festival approaches, Suzhou will issue consumer vouchers worth more than 10 million yuan to stimulate consumption during the holiday. There will be exclusive vouchers worth 1 million yuan to be distributed to new employment groups such as couriers and food delivery workers.
During the upcoming Spring Festival holiday, Suzhou will host over 1,000 themed activities to help create the festive atmosphere and enrich people’s cultural life. There will be more than 170 cultural and artistic activities, 650 mass cultural activities, 70 cultural exhibitions and 80 tourism activities, such as intangible cultural heritage-themed celebrations, New Year performances, and Spring Festival shopping markets.
In addition, a total of 75 state-owned scenic spots and A-level scenic spots in Suzhou will open to the public free of charge or at half price during the Spring Festival holiday. And 37 museums, including the Suzhou Museum and the Suzhou Silk Museum, will be open normally during the holiday. At the same time, discounts are available on more than 20 performances of the Suzhou Kunqu Opera Theatre, the Suzhou Farce Troupe, the Suzhou Pingtan Troupe and the Su Opera Training and Protection Center.
