In recognition of the outstanding achievements of Chinese athletes in the 33rd Summer Olympic Games and the 17th Summer Paralympic Games, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions decided to award the National May 1 Labor Medal to 29 of the gold-medal winners, including Suzhou athlete Sheng Lihao.
World record holder Sheng Lihao won two gold medals at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, making him the youngest Chinese shooter to achieve the “Super Grand Slam” encompassing titles from the Olympics, World Championships, and Asian Games. The young shooter was also selected as one of the top 10 Chinese athletes for 2024 by Xinhua News Agency.
The athletes who were awarded the National May 1 Labor Medal were as follows: Huang Yuting, Sheng Lihao, Li Yuehong, Deng Yawen, Liu Huanhua, Li Qian, Pan Zhanle, Feng Yu, Wang Liuyi, Wang Qianyi, Guo Qiqi, Hao Ting, Chen Yiwen, Wang Chuqin, Zheng Qinwen, Guo Jincheng, Dai Yunqiang, Hu Yang, Li Yingli, Lin Naili, Yin Menglu, Yan Zhiqiang, Lan Zhijian, Liu Li, Xu Haijiao, Pan Jiamin, Gu Xiaodan, Zhong Saichun and Li Yujie. Meanwhile, there were 4 sports teams honored as “National Worker Pioneers”.
